The subject area of the work covers a wide range of problems related to logistical support aimed at creating normal living conditions for the bodies and institutions of the penitentiary system. As a result of the research, the definition of logistics and its principles are formulated, the types of support are systematized with an indication of their functional content. The article may be of interest to researchers, managers, and practitioners involved in the logistics of the penal system.
