Professional activity of the officers of the Federal penal service influences on their legal reality perception. In addition to the legal ideology expressed in significant amount of information, including false, legal psychology is outlined in the structure of legal consciousness.The legal guidelines formed by the FSIN of Russia employees motivate it to extravert certain cases of behavior that are in relationship with the environment and are affected by legal socialization. In the article the author attempts to systematize elements of legal psychology. The author proves the positive vector of professionalization of penitentiary legal consciousness in the course of achieving high standards of the penitentiary officer activity and in the course of solving problems of law enforcement practice.
