Abstract (English):
The possibilities of psychotherapy for convicts’ correction are investigated in the article, it is noted that it can also be used by the he correctional institution personnel who did not undergo special and profound psychotherapeutic training. The main features of motivation are studied, its importance for personality study of the condemned and subjective reasons of his behavior are emphasized. The main “key points” of psychotherapeutic work are considered which are indicated in the text as contracts, as well as programs of psychological correctional work with convicts. Some of these programs have already been adapted in the Russian penitentiary practice for work with certain categories of criminals.
