In article in detail questions of formation and development of the legislation on illegal hunting (poaching), protection of fauna, and also organizational matters on management of the country of hunting economy are also in details researched. Conclusions are drawn that the most actively hunting legislation was created in the first years of the Soviet power when products of hunting economy had a significant share in a gross product of the country. In the weight it were bylaws of a set of departments, at different times or at the same time managing directors of a hunting industry or its large sectors. By this time, there was a possibility of creation of assigned hunting farms in the territories assigned to associations of hunters under contracts with local councils for servicing of members of societies of hunters of the nearby cities and rural settlements.
