ROLE OF SOCIAL INFLUENCE IN PREVENTION OF CRIMES COMMITTING BY PERSONS UNDER SUSPENDED SENTENCE

Abstract (English):
According to the current legislation one of a basic measure of correction of convicts is social influence. The author determined some peculiarities of implementation of this correctional measure according persons under suspended sentence: during the serving punishment, such persons are not isolated from the community, in this connection special importance get the influence of civil society institutions and representatives of public organizations on the process of their correction; in order to optimize the interaction of probation officers with relatives of registered persons are proposed and justified changes in the current legislation. In the article are discussed possible forms of participation of civil society institutions and NGOs in the prevention of crime by probationers during the probation period (on the example of activity of Association of lawyers of Russia). The author substantiated the expediency of holding educational conversations in groups with conditional sentenced persons assisted by representatives of employment centers, religious organizations and so on. The article substantiates also the necessity of the separation of prisoners into groups, given the degree of public danger of the committed crime and the personal characteristics of convicts.
