Abstract (English):
The history of the International penitentiary forum Crime, Punishment, Correction began in 2013 when the first Forum took place and brought together more than 600 participants.The idea to organize the Forum was widely supported by the public authorities of the Russian Federation, administration of the Federal penal service of Russia, regional bodies of the FPS of Russia, research and educational institutions, foreign prison services, non-governmental organizations of the Russian Federation, leading penologists.Many complimentary remarks of participants and their wish to hold such a large-scale event systematically confirmed the relevance and importance of the Forum.
