JUDICIAL CONTROL OVER ENSURING THE RIGHTS AND LEGITIMATE INTERESTS OF CONVICTS

Abstract (English):
Based on the current international, Russian legislation and judicial practice, the article provides a doctrinal analysis of law enforcement practice in the field of judicial control in ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of convicts. The obtained research results make it possible to conclude that there is a practical expediency in strengthening the role of the court at the legislative level in the implementation of judicial functions when changing the conditions of serving a sentence, transferring a convicted person to a chamber-type room, a single chamber-type room. The position on the need to create specialized penitentiary courts in the Russian Federation is noted and justified. The article reflects the author's subjective position on this issue.
