The article describes the experience of scientific and applied research in the organization of experimental sites on the basi s of correctional institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ryazan region. The authors reviewed the goals, stages and results of the experimental sites. In the course of the organized experimental work, innovative ideas are tested, practical recommendations are prepared for institutions of the penal system.
