The article analyzes the history of the formation and development of the scientific school of private law support for the activities of the penal system. The historical background of its origin is revealed, the main activities of the scientific school and its scientific results, their practical use are characterized. The author defines the prospects for the research of the scientific school, including in the field of cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations.
