The article examines the problems of legal regulation of the activities of the institution of the penal system in the event of emergency situations of an anthropogenic, technological and natural nature affecting the process of execution of punishment. Topical proposals have been formulated to improve Article 76 of the Penal Code of the Republic of Belarus, which regulates relations arising from the introduction of a special status regime in a correctional institution.382
