Further improvement of legislation, strengthening the protection of the interests of the state require from the Russian legal science deep research of the mechanism of legal impact on public relations. In this regard, the authors attempted to study the administrative responsibility of convicts. The features of the administrative responsibility of convicts sentenced to imprisonment are considered. The fact is stated that the issue of the application of administrative liability measures to convicts remains not fully resolved. The practical procedure of employees' actions related to the imposition of administrative penalties is determined. The prospects of applying certain measures of administrative responsibility to convicts are shown. A number of theoretical and materialprocedural materials (documents) have been worked out.
