FEATURES OF SELF-ESTEEM OF ADOLESCENTS FROM DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES IN A TEMPORARY DETENTION CENTER FOR JUVENILE OFFENDERS

Abstract (English):
The psychological category "self-esteem" is an integral part of the formation of the personality of a minor in modern society. In order to increase the effectiveness of individual preventive work with adolescents, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the formation and development of their self-esteem. The article examines the influence of family problems on the formation of self-esteem of adolescents in the CNS. The object of the study is the self-esteem of adolescents from prosperous and dysfunctional families.The purpose of the study is to study the features of the formation of self-esteem in adolescence, in particular, the features of self-esteem of adolescents from disadvantaged families who are in the CFS. The empirical study was conducted on the basis of the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pskov region and the structural unit "Secondary School No. 4" MBOU "Center ofEducation of the Opochetsky district" of the Pskov region. The study sample, consisting of 60 minors, was divided into two comparable groups, with normative behavior and illegal behavior. The following methods and techniques were used to diagnose the peculiarities of adolescents' self-esteem: structured interview, testing (V. V. Stolina, S. R. Panteleeva's self- attitude research methodology; Dembo-Rubinstein's self-esteem diagnostic methodology;L. I. Wasserman, I. A. Gorkova, E. E. Romitsyna's questionnaire "Teenagers about parents", methods of mathematical statistics - correlation analysis). As a result of an empirical study, it was found that the self-esteem of adolescents from disadvantaged families who are in the TSVSNP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pskov region is lower than that of adolescents from prosperous families studying at Secondary School No. 4. The level of claims is at an average level. These teenagers are more independent and rely on their knowledge. There is a permissive parenting style in the family. Among teenagers from well-off families studying at Secondary School No. 4, the level of self-esteem and claims is adequate. Family relationships are built on trust and mutual assistance. The results of the study are of practical importance for the staff of the Central Educational Institution in the framework of psychological support of adolescents, depending on the characteristics of their self-esteem and upbringing in a dysfunctional family.
